Frequently Asked Questions
The usual baby paraphernalia!
We use wet wipes in the studio - but we are happy to use yours if you bring some. We know some babies are a little sensitive and so ours may not be suitable.
If you have seen any photos or ideas that you'd like to do please do bring them with you and we can have a chat about it.
We have space in the studio for family/friends to attend with you - we have 5 seats available. They are welcome to join you for the experience.
When your pieces are ready for collection you will be contact via the email address that you used when you signed up for the appointment.
You will be advised at your appointment of the estimated turn around for your items.
When you have got your collection email you are welcome to come to any of the collections times stated on our website. These are the ONLY times that you are able to collect, however if you are really struggling to get her during those times please do let me know and I will do my best to accommodate you.
Please note - postage of any item is not possible owing to the fragile and special nature of your keepsakes. Courier companies and Royal Mail will not insure such goods and I cannot guarantee that they will be treated with the care they require to get them to you safely.
You will get an email when your pieces are ready for collection.
If you haven't been within two weeks you'll get a gentle reminder by phone to collect them and a further two weeks to do so.
Due to the very small studio space I do not have much room to store items for very long, therefore I am afraid that after 1 month, if I have not had any contact/response from you, your items need to be disposed of and I will be unable to refund or replace them.
Should you be unable to collect within this time frame please do speak to me and let me know that is the case so that we can make arrangements.
Don't panic, I fully understand that sometimes life happens in a way you weren't expecting.
When you registered on this site for your appointment you also registered for your Member Account.
By logging in you'll have access to all your bookings and be able to reschedule to a date that suits you best, so if little one is getting poorly and you think you might need a different appointment that's just fine.
Choose one from the available times and move to there. Your deposit will transfer across and you will not be charged again.
You can do this any time up to 24 hours before your appointment.
Please note - if it's less than 24 hours you will not be able to do this and you will forfeit your deposit, you will need to book a new appointment.
Unfortunately not.
Do the the firing cycles of the kiln, the drying time and double firing of clay and the long process of drying, processing and painting the castings we are not able to speed up any quicker than we are already doing. Sorry!
Please make sure you plan ahead of time to get your items back.
As rough guide:
Pottery: 7-10 days
Clay imprints and outprints - 4-6 weeks
We endeavour to get the items to you as quickly as we can without compromising any of the the quality to do so.
Oh no! That's something we never like to hear.... however, nothing is perfect, and doubly so when dealing with handcrafted castings or organic material that is hand made, hand designed, glazed and then heated to over 1000 degrees, twice! You have 3 days from collection to inform us of any issues with your pottery. We encourage you to inspect it BEFORE leaving the studio so that we can get onto any issues as soon as possible. Please note that once your items have left the studio we assume no responsibility for it. If your bag breaks on the way home, the pottery gets knocked about in the car or whether little Freddie drops it on the kitchen floor, our liability is only for the structure of the pottery/clay/handcast when it's with us, during the crafting, sculpting, glazing processes and design/personalisation work. If we have picked up the problem prior to you collecting it: we will contact you to let you know and make arrangements on how we can fix it. If we have missed something and/or you are not satisfied with the glaze fire or the personalisation please do contact us immediately. Where possible please attach photographs. We will reply with next steps as soon as possible so that we can either fix or redo at the earliest possible time. This is especially important when it comes to baby keepsakes, we want to capture those little hands and feet while they are small and will offer you the soonest appointment available. Due to the nature of our items we are unable to provide full refunds. I urge everyone who has created pottery/clay prints to adhere to the Pottery Aftercare advice which can be found in our blog. No liability will be assumed by Little Prints Scotland if it is likely that the pottery aftercare advice has not been adhered to.
Absolutely!
